1) Goodbye Lullaby is her 4th album so far
2) the album was released 2nd March 2011
3)the recording sessions took more than 2 years
4)What the Hell is the 1st single on the album
5) Avril wrote the half of the songs by herself
7) she  worked with her ex-husband  Deryck Whebley
8) she was inspired by her divorce
9) another inspiration was her new clothing line Abbey Dawn
10) the album is about "finding inner strength and moving forward"

What Avril Lavigne says about her work:

"My record company were being a typical record company and trying to give me their version of how it should be – trying to get me to go in a different direction. I had to fight with them over and over. I was like, 'No, this is a really special record to me and this is what I'm doing'."

“I was really just writing them for me,”

“That is a side of me, rocking out on stage, running around fist pumping, jumping, and I love to do that, but I also love to just be solo at a piano and sing or an acoustic guitar. That’s just another side of me. I didn’t want to make the same record over and over, so this is where I’m at creatively. When you hear the majority of the songs on this album, it’s a different tone than my other records, a different vibe, and that’s just where I’m at today as a twenty-six year old and as an artist.”

I’ve always written songs on my own and I’ve just never recorded them. It was time. I was like, you know what? I’ve got to put my songs on this record,”
