The "basic trends" for this season are fur, bright red palettes, luxe metallics, sheer fabrics, seventies inspired-style with the own unique style of the labels.
1) Ralph Lauren:
One of my favourites was the Ralph Lauren collection, with lacquer details and a colour-palette of black, jade-green and red. The designer, Ralph Lauren got his inspiration from China, and created oreantationed clothes:
2) Marc by Marc Jacobs:
I loved the new Marc by Marc Jacobs collection, which contained playful details with grown-up-cut. Marc Jacobs used minimalist colours with exotic musters, which made a Brise College-feeling. The clothes are from different textures, mostly from tweed, leather and cashmere. I love this style, because it's sooo cosmopolitan!
3) Oscar de la Renta:
My third favourite collection from the New York Fashion Week was the one from Oscar de la Renta. I looove the beautiful dresses, which he made, and I like how he used fur. He was inspired from many cultures, like China. He designed many skirts, mostly Bouclé-skirts, and also a lot of jackets and the fur-caps, what (I think) will characterize his collection in this year:
We have to wait until fall and winter come and we can wear these nice dresses, but first I am very happy that spring is coming, and we can wear the newest spring/summer trends! :)
